Library Services

The House of Lords Library is a research and information service supporting Members of the Lords and the work of the House.

The Library provides impartial research briefings on all major bills and debates before the Lords, a collection of books, newspapers, journals and reference items, a confidential enquiry service, plus support for using online resources.

Accessing the Catalogue and Discovery Search

Members of the Lords, members’ staff and House staff can use the Lords Library Catalogue and Discovery Search to reserve and borrow books, e-books and journal articles, view the status of loans and browse our collection.
