The toy consists of a cardboard strip 31 x 6.5 cm folded at the hinge of the ladder. It contains 14 designs; at one end is printed the title, "The queen's matrimonial ladder" and at the other, the imprint, "Printed by William Hone. Price (with the pamphlet) one shilling"
