Speech of Mr. John Sullivan, in the Court of Proprietors at the East India House, on the 8th of February, 1843, upon seconding the following motion, brought forward by Mr. Lewis, viz:- "That, after a full and anxious consideration of all the circumstances of the case of the Raja of Sattara, this Court is of opinion that justice, no less than the character of the British government in India, requires that either the Raja be restored to his throne, or a full and impartial inquiry be made into all the circumstances of his case." Also an analysis of the case of the deposed Raja.
